The La Ronge Ice Wolves have made a deal with the AJHL’s Calgary Canucks.

The Ice Wolves have acquired 19-year-old defenceman Kaiden Collumb in exchange for a player development fee.

Collumb had four points in 11 games this season with the Canucks. In 30 games last season with the Canucks, Collumb recorded three points in 30 games. He also had 89 penalty minutes.

“He’s going to give us accountability and leadership on the blue line,” said Ice Wolves Head Coach and GM Kevin Kaminski. “He’s big, strong and has a nasty side, along with a good first pass. We welcome Kaiden to the Ice Wolves family.”

Collumb is listed at 6’2” tall and 205 lbs. He was selected 158th overall by the Kamloops Blazers in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

Meantime, the Ice Wolves are back in action on Friday in North Battleford when they face the North Stars. You can catch the action live on MBC Network Radio with Braden Malsbury. The pre-game show gets underway at 7:15 p.m.
