Big River RCMP are searching for a suspect after a traffic stop and the seizure of a number of weapons earlier this month.

The incident in the Big River area happened Oct. 19.

Police say they noticed a red-coloured Chevrolet Monte Carlo vehicle driving slowly but erratically.

When they tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver fled the area.

The vehicle was later apprehended on a nearby dirt road and four people were taken into to custody.

Investigators say they found a sawed-off shotgun, various ammunition, a machete and a number of knives and other articles including masks and close to $3,000 in cash.

Twenty-two-year-old Henry Ratt, 39-year-old Jerry Stewart Netmaker, 25-year-old Larry Durocher and 23-year-old Kelsey Lee Lachance have been charged with possession of multiple firearms, failure to comply and dangerous driving.

The suspects were scheduled to appear in Prince Albert court Tuesday.

Police are still on the lookout for the fifth occupant of the vehicle.
