Police say an 18-year-old woman is in hospital with serious head injuries after an assault with a firearm in Prince Albert last night.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. in the 300 Block of 20th Street East.
Officers say a shot was fired but the woman’s injuries are not consistent with a gunshot wound.
A suspect was later arrested in the 400 Block of 23rd Street East.
Twenty-year-old Chandler Laliberte has been charged with a number of firearms offences, aggravated assault, uttering threats and breach of a court order.
He made his first court appearance this morning.
