Premier Scott Moe is expected to be in Prince Albert on Monday for the ceremonial groundbreaking of the new University of Saskatchewan campus in the city.

The campus, located at 1061 Central Avenue, is slated to open next fall.

Prince Albert Grand Council Grand Chief Brian Hardlotte, Métis Nation-Saskatchewan President Glen McCallum and U of S President Peter Stoicheff are also scheduled to attend.

The university’s College of Dentistry also received a $1.1 million donation Thursday which will go toward the new clinic at the Prince Albert campus.

The money will cover construction and equipment costs.

The U of S says the donation, from dentalcorp, is the largest in college’s 51-year history.
