RCMP report a Fishing Lake First Nation man is dead following an officer-involved shooting on the reserve Tuesday.
Mounties said that two officers from the Wadena detachment were called to a home on there Tuesday afternoon on a disturbance complaint and that a man was armed with a knife.
The officers located the man and the home, but shortly after at least one officer discharged their firearm, wounding the man.
Officers performed CPR, but the unidentified man died of his injuries.
The family has been notified, but his name is not being released.
As per protocol, the RCMP has requested the Moose Jaw Police Service investigate the incident and has asked the province for oversight.
RCMP said it will not be making any further comment.
