Flying Dust First Nation was the site of the 2019 Tony Cote First Nations Summer Games, which came to a close last week.

Officials involved are pleased with how things turned out.

“The majority of people in attendance had nothing but compliments for us,” said Clay DeBray, who served as the manager of the games.

“We did struggle a bit with Mother Nature. Sunday, the first day of the games, we dealt with four or five inches of rain. Our crews and volunteers Monday morning really worked hard to get all of our venues back.”

Meantime, Team Woodland took the overall points crown with 62, BATC placed second and MLTC rounded out the top three.

BATC earned the Tony Cote Award, which is given to the most improved team.
