A 22-year-old man has been charged after the community of Sucker River was locked down for several hours Wednesday morning.
RCMP say an armed adult male barricaded himself in a local residence along with an adult female.
The man eventually exited the residence without incident and the woman was taken to La Ronge hospital for treatment.
Police say the school and local daycare were placed in secure mode while they dealt with the situation.
Jonah Ratt faces charges of assault, uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Sucker River is located about 30 kilometres north of La Ronge.
