The La Ronge Ice Wolves have made a minor trade.
The Ice Wolves have sent 2000-born forward Taylor Halbgewachs to the Weyburn Red Wings in exchange for a player development fee and a fourth-round pick in the 2020 SJHL Bantam Draft.
Halbgewachs never played a game with the Ice Wolves and spent last season with the Pilot Butte Storm in the PJHL. In 36 regular season games with the Storm, Halbgewachs had 66 points. In four playoff games, the Emerald Park, SK product was pointless.
Halbgewachs was acquired by La Ronge in a trade with the Humboldt Broncos in Oct. 2017.
