The Cowessess First Nation will be hosting a public search event this coming Saturday for a woman who has been missing for more than five weeks.

Jenaya Wapemoose was last seen in areas of the 1800 block of Ottawa Street and 12 block of Retallack Street in Regina on April 7.

She is described as 5’ 4” tall, weighing 120 lbs, with light brown shoulder length hair, brown eyes and tattoos on both the left and right sight of her chest and behind her left ear.

Cowessess is asking for volunteers to meet on the band-owned lot at 7th Avenue and Albert Street in Regina at 11 a.m. to put up posters and spread public awareness.

Anyone with information on Jenaya Wapemoose’s whereabouts is also asked to contact Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500.
