Regina police have charged a 23-year-old woman with attempted murder after an alleged shooting incident on Friday.
Police were called to hospital just before 8 p.m. after receiving a report of a 20-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Upon further investigation, officers say it was determined the arrest of a female in the 1400 block of Minto Street earlier in the evening may have been related.
Search of the female suspect produced a small handgun.
Police say earlier in the day a male was allegedly shot during an altercation at a residence in the 1300 block of Aberdeen Street.
Janaya Rachel Kinequon of Punnichy is charged with attempted murder, use of a firearm in the commission of an indictable offence, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
She made her first court appearance Monday morning.
