A man accused of killing a 21-month-old toddler in Prince Albert last month was back in court Wednesday morning.

Twenty-nine-year-old Kelvin Jonathan McCallum of Sandy Bay is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Kelvin McCallum Junior.

Police and ambulance were called to a downtown apartment in the city on Mar. 20 where they found an unconscious infant.

The child was transported to Victoria Hospital where he later died.

The accused has yet to enter a plea and the case has been adjourned until April 24.
