The La Ronge Ice Wolves are hosting their spring camp in Saskatoon this weekend.

The team is expecting around 80 players to take part in the action at the Harold Latrace Arena.

“Everyone’s got to come in here and prove themselves – and to see where we’re at with everything, where we got to improve in every position,” said La Ronge Ice Wolves Head Coach and GM Kevin Kaminski.

“The only guarantee in hockey is that there is no guarantee. Everyone’s got to come in and prove themselves and wanna make the Ice Wolves organization better and change the culture, and get onto winning ways with a great attitude and work ethic.”

The camp will feature young players, as well as a few veterans sprinkled into the mix.

“I know that they got a lot of returning guys, I don’t know them, they don’t me,” said Kaminski. “They have to prove themselves, they’ve got to be the leaders here this weekend and show that they want a spot to keep.”

Meantime, the Ice Wolves will host their annual golf tournament June 8 at Eagle Point Resort in La Ronge.
