RCMP say they arrested Alvin Lawrence Sunshine on Saturday at a residence on the Ochapowace First Nation without incident.

 


 

Melville RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance locating a 27-year-old man wanted on kidnapping charges.

The kidnapping is alleged to have occurred at a rural property south of Melville in July of last year when a male suspect demanded a female victim drive him to a residence in Regina.

The suspect was armed with a firearm.

Once at the Regina residence, the suspect exited the vehicle and the woman was allowed to drive away.

Alvin Lawrence Sunshine is wanted on charges of use of a firearm to commit a kidnapping, use of a firearm to commit robbery, disguise with intent and three counts of theft.

He is described as 5’ 8” tall, weighing 140 lbs, with a slender build, brown eyes and black hair.
