Regina police have charged four people with various drug and weapons offences after a vehicle stop early Saturday morning.

Police stopped the vehicle around 2:52 a.m. in the area of Sherwood Drive and Wascana Drive.

During a search of the vehicle, drugs and weapons were seized including cocaine, methamphetamine, folding knives and brass knuckles.

Thirty-one-year-old Jarod Michael Shambel, 39-year-old Jason Wayne Quewezance, 25-year-old Chantelle Renee Friday and 24-year-old Naomi Elizabeth Friday are all facing a number of charges for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of weapons.

The four have been released on police undertaking.

They are due to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Feb. 28.
