RCMP say a 50-year-old man is facing charges after leaving the scene of a fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision on the Big River First Nation on Dec. 23.

Big River RCMP and Big River EMS responded to the call at approximately

10:45 p.m. and an adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver is from the Big River First Nation and has been charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident after a person dies, public mischief and obstructing a police officer.

The accused is in custody and has been scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday.
