RCMP say three people are facing drugs and weapons charges following a traffic stop south of Pelican Narrows Tuesday.

Mounties say the vehicle had five occupants, with the driver and passenger stating they were giving three males in the back seat a ride to Sandy Bay.

Police say after further investigating, a search of the vehicle was conducted where a large amount of cash, a loaded hand gun, stolen identification, suspected crack cocaine, power cocaine and marijuana were located.

Charged are Willy Joseph Lako, Mustafe Hussein and Mohammad Omar Ali.

The three males will appear in provincial court in Sandy Bay today.
