Like many communities across the country, La Ronge will have to wait a few months to have a marijuana retail outlet.
As of today it is legal for adults to buy, grow and use marijuana for recreational purposes.
Aura Cannabis, the company granted a license for La Ronge, says a store won’t be open for another several months.
Company spokesperson Andrew Gordon attended a public meeting in La Ronge last night.
He says the company will first be setting up online sales.
“We’re going to be opening in Saskatoon first toward the end of November or early December” he adds “at that point our online website and e-commerce system will be available to consumers”.
Gordon says the Aura Cannabis website will also contain information on topics like responsible use, regulations and how to safely store cannabis.
