The Ministry of Energy and Resources says an oil well operated by BlackPearl Resources on the Onion Lake First Nation spilled on August 26.

Early indications suggest that 12 cubic meters of oil was released.

The Ministry says it is monitoring the site, which is undergoing clean up. T

he government says most of the affected soil and vegetation has been removed and transported to a licensed disposal site, with no bodies of water being affected by the spill.
