An RCMP member stationed in Stony Rapids has been suspended, is facing three criminal charges and an RCMP Code of Conduct investigation has been ordered.
Police say Brendin Feere has been charged with assault, forcible confinement and overcoming resistance to commission of offence.
RCMP received a complaint of an assault that occurred at a home in Black Lake on Friday. After an investigation, Feere was charged.
No other details on the incident have been released.
Feere has less than two years of service with the RCMP.
He is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Black Lake court on September 19.
