A precautionary drinking water advisory has been issued for parts of La Ronge.

The areas affected include the water distribution system, servicing the industrial area and part of Studer Street south of Quandt Crescent, Sinotte Crescent, Thompson Crescent, Sewell Place, Brady Place and Aronee Place.

The reason for the precautionary drinking water advisory was a depressurization due to a power outage.

People using water in these areas are instructed to boil water used for drinking purposes for at least one minute at a rolling boil.

Also, boil water to be used for other activities where it may be ingested, including brushing teeth or soaking false teeth, washing fruits and vegetables or food or drink, which will not be subsequently heated, including ice cubes.

This precautionary drinking water advisory remains in effect until further notice.

Testing of the water in these areas will be conducted, as is standard procedure in these situations.
