A 28-year-old man was scheduled to appear in court today, facing several charges after a weekend shooting incident in North Battleford.
RCMP say a person with a gunshot wound was brought to Battlefords Union Hospital around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
The victim was later transferred to Saskatoon and is recovering. Investigators believe the shooting took place at an apartment block.
The suspect, David Soonias, was located later in the day and police say they also found number of firearms.
The charges include discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault and possession of a restricted firearm.
