The Saskatchewan Research Council says it is in the process of expanding its mentorship program for Indigenous post-secondary students.

The program allows First Nations, Inuit and Métis students in science, technology, engineering and math to connect with a mentor to gain work experience through a summer job.

The program began in 2015, with 15 students being involved. Two of those students have accepted full-time employment with the Saskatchewan Research Council and are still working there today.
