Shellbrook RCMP made an arrest Tuesday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery earlier this spring.

Twenty-nine-year-old Matthew Lafond faces a number of charges including armed robbery.

He is due to appear in provincial court on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation on Wednesday morning.

Another suspect, 29-year-old Keith Stonechild, is still at large.

Stonechild also faces a number of charges including armed robbery.

Police warn Stonechild should not be approached as he may be armed.

On April 27, two male suspects allegedly entered a business on Service Road in Shellbrook with firearms shortly before midnight and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
