The RCMP says its Major Crimes Unit North and Its Black Lake detachment are investigating a recent suspicious death as a homicide.
The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Brandy Robillard of Black Lake.
Police say the death was reported Sunday afternoon.
Mounties are appealing to the public for any information regarding the death or Robillard’s activities or interactions leading up to her death.
