La Ronge RCMP has determined social media reports of an abduction in Sucker River were unfounded.
RCMP say they were made aware of online posts alleging an attempted abduction in the community on Monday morning.
No complaints were filed on the alleged incident. The RCMP do say a suspicious vehicle was reported in the community a day earlier.
However, investigators soon determined both matters were unrelated and no abduction occurred.
Mounties say some young people were playing a game in the area that included running away from vehicles.
They believe this may have led to the social media posts.
