A man is recovering in hospital after a fall from a bridge in Prince Albert.

Police say the 36-year-old man fell from the city’s train bridge just before noon on Thursday.

Witnesses immediately reported the incident to the authorities.

The RCMP was already on the river in boats doing scheduled training and they coordinated with the Prince Albert Police Service and Prince Albert Fire Department to pull the man from the river.

He was then taken to Victoria Hospital.

Police say they are not investigating the incident any further as it is not believed to be a criminal matter.
