Wadena RCMP say a 9-year-old girl was bitten by two dogs on the Fishing Lake First Nation Friday evening.
The girl was transported to hospital in Wadena and then sent on to Saskatoon, with her injuries being considered serious.
Police say the two dogs involved were found not to be stray and belonged to a resident on Fishing Lake First Nation.
They were euthanized at the direction of Chief and Council by a community member.
