The second edition of the Bush Rush Ultimate Challenge took place on Saturday at Eagle Point Resort, which is located outside of La Ronge.

The event is a five-kilometre Spartan-like race, which features an obstacle course.

Brian Kelly was the fastest male, while Caitlin Dorion was the fastest female. Larissa Muirhead and Lindsay Thomson took home the quickest team prize and Lyndon Fitch finished first in the youth event.

Meantime, Gill Gracie and Felix Mirasty earned the perseverance award.

“All of the participants had a spectacular time,” said Travis Hegland, the organizer of the event. “A lot of them are already looking forward to next year’s Bush Rush.”

Twenty-five people took part in this year’s event. Hegland says the race will be back next year.

Organizers of the event would like to thank the volunteers and sponsors for making the race a success.
