Two people from Big River First Nation are facing numerous drug trafficking charges after allegedly being found with crystal meth and a large quantity of prescription pills.
RCMP say a traffic stop was conducted near Debden this past Saturday. Officers then conducted a search warrant at a home on the Big River First Nation, where police say they located weapons and ammunition.
Forty-three-year-old Leslie Keenatch and 34-year-old Sandra Keenatch, both from Big River First Nation, face numerous drug trafficking and weapon-related charges.
Both are scheduled to appear in court on June 12.
