Three more members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders have been confirmed to attend the Northern Football Jamboree in La Ronge next month.
Naaman Roosevelt, Willie Jefferson and Ed Gainey are the latest members of the Riders that will be coming to the north in May. In March, quarterback Brandon Bridge was the only member of the Green and White confirmed for the event.
When asked if additional members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders will be coming to help out, officials did say it is a possibility.
“There’s four for now, there might be another name or two — we’ll wait and see,” said Mark Williment with the Northern Lights School Division.
The Riders in attendance will be helping out as guest coaches. The northern camp is intended to introduce students to the game.
The Northern Football Jamboree is scheduled to take place May 12-13 at Churchill Community High School in La Ronge.
