Residents charged a Provincial Sales Tax on certain insurance policies, can expect a refund or credit, directly from their insurance company by the end of June.

The government is making good on a commitment of returning the PST to claim holders of; crop, livestock, hail, margin/income, life and health insurance.

The PST will no longer be applied. The exemption will be retroactive to August 1, 2017, the date certain premiums were taxable.

The insurance companies who collected and remitted the PST will calculate the refunds and will credit or refund to the policy holders account.
