RCMP say a video of what appears to be a confrontation between Mounties and some women in Pelican Narrows is being “looked at.”
The video appears to show an exchange between some women walking on a road in the community and two Mounties.
At one point, one of the Mounties appears to say: “Do you want to get shot?”.
After one of the women swings a hockey stick at the RCMP cruiser as it’s driving away, the Mounties stop and exit the vehicle and confront the women.
The video shows one of the Mounties confiscating the hockey stick, shoving one of the women to the ground in the process.

In a statement provided to MBC, RCMP say: “Saskatchewan RCMP is aware of the video. It is being looked into at the appropriate level. We are unable to provide any further details at this time.”
The video posted to Facebook on Tuesday by Geraldine Merasty of Pelican Narrows has been viewed over 41,000 times as of early Thursday afternoon.
In her post, Merasty says the exchange took place on Ballantyne Street.
Merasty has not been immediately available for comment.
