The results are in and Muskeg Lake First Nation has elected a new chief.
Kelly Wolfe defeated three other candidates to win the position.
the band held their general election yesterday.
Wolfe will serve a three year term as Chief.
The band’s former chief Gilbert Ledoux did not run.
In addition, the band also elected six councillor positions.
Two are returning while four will be newly elected to the council.
