A La Ronge man accused of manslaughter will remain in custody after his first court appearance.
Nikko Ross, 30, made a brief court appearance in La Ronge Thursday morning, where his matter was adjourned until February 12 when it is expected he will enter a plea.
Ross is charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of 58-year-old Henry Natomagan.
On January 23, police say they responded to reports of an altercation outside a La Ronge business.
Natomagan was found with life-threatening injuries and was initially taken to the La Ronge Health Centre. He was then transferred to a Saskatoon hospital where he died January 28.
Ross was arrested and charged a week after the altercation.
He will remain in custody until his next court appearance when he is expected to appear via video.
