Jury deliberations continue in the Gerald Stanley murder trial.

The trial has been taking place over the past two weeks at the Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford.

Stanley is on trial for the shooting death of Colten Boushie on his rural farm in July 2016.

After hearing nearly two weeks of evidence and testimony the jury began their deliberations Thursday afternoon.

The jurors deliberated late into the evening, but were unable to come to a verdict, so deliberations continued Friday morning.

Jurors have spent the morning reviewing key testimony from Sheldon Stanley and Gerald Stanley himself.

The jury wanted to hear specific testimony from the men on the moments around the shooting of Boushie, but the court determined they would have to listen to the entire testimony.

After listening to several hours of testimony the jury will soon return to the privacy of their deliberation room.
