The La Ronge Fire Department had to deploy the jaws of life following a collision yesterday morning.

Shortly before 2.a.m., yesterday, firefighters arrived at 1120 La Ronge Ave where a vehicle had rear-ended a parked truck.

Responders deployed the jaws of life in order to remove the passenger of the vehicle that was being driven.

The victim was promptly transported to the La Ronge Health Centre.

The status of the victims and the scope of their injuries is currently unknown.

In a Facebook post, the fire department thanked La Ronge EMS, RCMP, and the department’s members for their work during the incident.
