The Alex Robertson Public Library will be putting $15,000 towards their computers, thanks to a donation from AREVA.

AREVA works in the uranium sector and operates the McClean Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan.

In a press release the library that their current computers were aging and that some were even out of order.

“AREVA’s generosity is greatly appreciated,” said Library Board Chair Michelle Gale. “This fall, we undertook a fundraising campaign to address our most urgent computer needs, and the community responded with almost $4000 in donations. With this unexpected contribution from AREVA, those funds can be redirected towards other technological needs that will improve library services.”

Computers in the library are open to the public and can be used free of charge.
