Lineups out the door aren’t stopping residents of Creighton from getting a cup of coffee from the community’s new Tim Hortons.

The new franchise held a grand opening celebration on Monday.

The kiosk in the Petro Canada gas bar officially opened on December 4 to what has been reported as huge lineups.

Local dignitaries and officials were on hand for a ribbon cutting at the kiosk during Monday’s grand opening.

“This is what happens when we work together in partnership,” said Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Chief Peter Beatty. “This is a great day for PBCN…I think this is going to be a very successful franchise.”

This is the first Tim Hortons to be opened in the northeast area of the province around Creighton and Flin Flon.

The outlet is owned by the Peter Ballantyne Group of Companies and is on PBCN land.
