Two men are facing dozens of charges after RCMP conducted targeted enforcement checks on the weekend in La Loche.

Police say 29-year-old Brendan Toulejour of La Loche was arrested on 27 warrants.

The charges include six counts of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, 12 counts of theft and 13 counts of failure to comply.

The other charges include break and enter, mischief and trespassing.

He was remanded and is back in court next month.

Another suspect, 24-year-old Cole Laprise of La Loche, was also arrested on multiple warrants.

They include 19 counts of failure to comply with a judge’s undertaking and nine counts of assault.

Laprise also faces charges of assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, intimidation and uttering threats.

He is being held in custody and is back in court on December 11.
