Clients of the downtown CIBC in La Ronge will be doing business at another location next year.

As of April 20, the downtown branch will close and the accounts will automatically transferred to the CIBC located on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

In a release, CIBC officials say they are working to identify new roles at the Sooneyawi Kamik branch for the four employees of the downtown location.

The reserve banking centre is a full-service bank that has 24-hour ATM access.

Bank officials also say many of their clients are already using services offered online or by phone, and are doing their banking outside of traditional banking centres.

The downtown location will be put up for sale four to six months after it is closed.
