Several people have been arrested and could be facing charges after a stand-off on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation late Thursday night.

Police say they went to a home on the reserve at around 3:30 in the afternoon where they found a stolen vehicle.

Three men were arrested on their arrival, but another three men were believed to still be in the house.

The RCMP says based on safety concerns neighbouring detachments, the RCMP Emergency Response Team and two police dog teams were called in to assist.

Several hours later at around 4:00 am Friday morning the three men were arrested in the home without incident.

Police did find two sawed-off firearms in the home.
