An elementary school in La Ronge has put out a warning to parents following an incident in a nearby neighbourhood yesterday.
Pre-Cam Community School says it has learned a man in a truck offered to give a Grade 5 student a ride, and then threatened the girl.
The school says the incident happened just after 4 p.m. on Studer Street, after the child had gone home and was walking back to play at the school.
The truck is described as an old blue Ford with an Alberta licence plate.
Pre-Cam says police have been notified and are investigating.
RCMP have not been immediately available to comment.
The school is urging parents and guardians to remind students to not speak to strangers and to always travel in groups.
