A guilty plea has been entered in relation to a Pelican Narrows man’s death in November of 2015.
Johnston Linklater was arrested for second-degree murder of Antoine Custer in the days following the 26-year-old victim’s death.
Last week in Pelican Narrows court, Linklater entered a guilty plea for manslaughter.
Custer’s body was found in an open area of the northern community after RCMP were called about a sudden death.
Linklater, 19, has been in custody for more than a year. He was serving a sentence in the community at the time of his arrest and had to serve the remainder of that sentence behind bars.
His sentencing is set for June in Pelican Narrows.
