The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) has made the list of Best Workplaces in Canada.

The list features the top 50 companies chosen from across the country where SIGA placed 49th.

SIGA the only First Nations company to make the list and the only Saskatchewan company to get that honor.

In a prepared statement, CEO Zane Hansen recognized SIGA employees for the national recognition.  He said “we’re really excited to make the 2017 list of Great Places to Work in Canada. At SIGA, we work hard to create meaningful jobs that our employees can take pride in and we invest in our people by providing a robust employee support and development program.”

Hansen also said it’s the employees that make SIGA a great place to work because of their integrity, their passion, and their commitment to delivering exceptional First Nations hospitality.

The list is based on direct feedback from employees, provided as part of an extensive and anonymous survey about the workplace experience.

Other notable companies from across the country to make the list included BMW Canada, RBC and Microsoft Canada.

SIGA employs 1875 people at sx First Nation owned and operated casinos in the province as well as their head office in Saskatoon.
