A former La Ronge schoolteacher has been sentenced to a year and a half in prison for sexual assault.
Joachim Neumann, also known as Joe Neumann, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault against two adult women after a trial by judge held in September.
At sentencing earlier this week, court heard the sexual acts occurred at a cabin on Lac la Ronge after the women who had been drinking with Neumann passed out.
The victim names are protected by a publication ban.
Neumann is a former teacher, and court heard most he was recently a bus driver and driver instructor.
His sentence will be followed by one year probation and his name will be added to the sex offender registry.
