A manhunt is underway for a suspect in a double-shooting on the Little Pine First Nation, which is located west of North Battleford.

RCMP confirmed two people were found suffering gunshot wounds in a home on the reserve at about midnight last night.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, the other was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. No names have been released.

Police are searching for 40-year-old Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket. Police say he might be armed and is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

He is described as 5’6” tall, 210 pounds with dark hair.

RCMP say he may be on the Sweetgrass First Nation, but this has not been confirmed.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
