Autopsies will be done this week after the deaths of two men at Canoe Lake Cree First Nation.
On Saturday afternoon, Beauval RCMP received a call about a shot being fired at a home on the reserve.
When officers arrived, they found the body of a 27-year-old man.
About two hours later, the body of a 30-year-old man, believed to have been involved in the incident, was found in a wooded area on the reserve.
Investigators believe it was a murder-suicide.
Police say the two men were known to each other and they are not looking for any other suspects.
