RCMP are providing more details on an abduction and brief Amber Alert in La Ronge late Wednesday night.
Mounties say they received a complaint shortly before 8:00pm that two young boys were taken by an adult man in a silver van.
The man has been identified as 18 year-old Jarrod Charles from the La Ronge area.
As the RCMP investigation began they discovered Charles was a potential person of interest in a complaint of a stolen grey van earlier in the day.
This information along with the knowledge that Charles was on an undertaking to not have any contact with children under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult, led investigators to activate an Amber Alert.
The Amber Alert was activates shortly after midnight.
Extensive searches were then conducted for the vehicle, which was discovered at 12:55am by Wakaw RCMP at a home in St. Louis.
The two missing boys were located at this home and Charles was taken into custody.
Charles now faces 2 counts of abduction of a person and 2 counts of breach of an undertaking.
He made his first court appearance in Prince Albert on Thursday.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
