RCMP have charged a 20 year-old man with second-degree murder in relation to a suspicious death in Pelican Narrows earlier this month.

On July 9, 19 year-old Jordan Bedard was taken to the Pelican Narrows Health Centre where he later died. Police declared the death suspicious.

Now, the RCMP says investigators believe Bedard attended a house party on that day prior to receiving his injuries.

After following that information, Mounties arrested 20 year-old Brett Michel this past Thursday in relation to Bedard’s death.

Michel faces one charge of second-degree murder and made his first court appearance on Monday.

His next court appearance will be in Prince Albert Provincial Court on August 9.

The RCMP and the Office of the Chief Coroner continue to investigate the incident.
