An autopsy will be done later this week after the discovery of human remains in a burned out vehicle near the Battlefords.
RCMP say the vehicle was located Friday afternoon on Highway 4 between North Battleford and the Mosquito First Nation.
The remains have not been identified, but are believed to be those of an adult male.
Investigators say five other people had been inside the vehicle before the fire, and were given a ride to the Mosquito First Nation.
Police have been in contact with those individuals.
North Battleford RCMP would also like to speak to the people who gave them the ride, or anyone else who was in the area before the vehicle burned.
The investigation continues.
